Chalazion Management
Chalazion Management
A chalazion is a small, usually painless lump or swelling on the eyelid caused by a blocked oil gland (meibomian gland). While it is not an infection, it can sometimes become red, swollen, or tender if inflamed. Chalazion management involves both conservative care and, if needed, minor surgical treatment.
When Chalazion Management is Needed
Persistent eyelid swelling or lump
Redness, discomfort, or cosmetic concerns
Blurred vision if the lump presses on the eye
Recurrence despite home remedies
