Retina Screening Diabetic & Hypertension
Retina Screening Diabetic & Hypertension
Retina screening is a specialized eye test that helps detect early damage to the retina caused by diabetes (diabetic retinopathy) or high blood pressure (hypertensive retinopathy). Both conditions can silently harm the retina, leading to vision loss if not identified and treated early.
Why Retina Screening is Important
Diabetes: High blood sugar can damage tiny blood vessels in the retina, causing bleeding, swelling, or scarring.
Hypertension: High blood pressure can lead to retinal vessel changes, hemorrhages, or optic nerve damage.
Both conditions often cause no symptoms until advanced stages.
